About

Sales leadership shaped by field experience, partner ecosystems and commercial discipline.

ABOUT

I write about B2B sales, channel strategy, partner management, CRM, PRM and the practical use of technology in sales because these are not abstract topics for me. They are part of the operating reality I have worked with for 17 years.

Professional journey

My career has been shaped by sales leadership roles across banking, telecommunications, technology and consulting. Each sector taught a different part of the same lesson: growth depends not only on ambition, but on the quality of the system behind the ambition.

In B2B environments, that system includes customer focus, sales discipline, partner selection, process design, performance management and the ability to make decisions from reliable information. These are the themes I return to in my writing.

B2B sales and channel leadership

A significant part of my experience comes from managing channel sales structures. In telecommunications, I worked with eight B2B dealer organizations representing approximately 480 people across those organizations, based on an average of around 60 people per dealer organization.

That kind of structure teaches a practical lesson very quickly: a channel is not strong because it has many partners. It becomes strong when the right partners are selected, enabled, measured and supported with consistency.

Strategic partnerships

In consulting, I manage approximately 80 strategic business partnerships in a B2B partner structure. This experience adds another layer to my view of channel management. Strategic partnerships require commercial alignment, trust, service quality and a shared understanding of the customer.

The best partner relationships are not managed only through targets. They are managed through clarity: who the right customer is, what value the partner brings, what support the partner needs and how performance will be evaluated over time.

Technology, CRM and PRM perspective

CRM and PRM systems matter because they create visibility. They help teams understand pipeline quality, partner activity, customer history, service continuity and performance patterns. But tools alone do not create discipline.

A useful system combines process design, data quality and management rhythm. When those pieces work together, technology becomes more than reporting software. It becomes institutional memory and a practical decision layer.

How I think about sales

I believe sales leadership is a balance between field reality and structured management. Leaders need to understand the customer, the partner, the team and the numbers without reducing the business to dashboards alone.

When performance is low, the first step should be diagnosis. The root cause may be capability, positioning, finance, operations, motivation, sales coaching or process discipline. Pushing for more activity without understanding the problem usually creates noise, not progress.
